Promises when we question why
We can be certain that God know what is best. Read all these verses carefully and thoughtfully.
Jeremiah 10:23,24
I know, O LORD , that a man’s life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.
Correct me, LORD , but only with justice- not in your anger, lest you reduce me to nothing
Jeremiah 29:11-13
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Proverbs 16:9
In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 20:24
A man’s steps are directed by the LORD . How then can anyone understand his own way?
Isaiah 55:8,9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD .
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Psalm 33:11
But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
Psalm 18:30-32
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.
For who is God besides the LORD ? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
Philippians 4:6,7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
James 1:2-4
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
1 Peter 5:6,7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Job 23:10
